With a background in traditional documentary filmmaking, Fifer Garbesi focused on providing a platform for under-represented voices to tell their stories. However, she felt a disconnect from living in these communities and presenting this in media. She began experimenting with immersive and interactive storytelling, beginning with projection mapping and DIY 360 rigs. When she discovered virtual reality, she knew this was what she had been searching for.
After producing an extensive portfolio of 360 content, she began wondering how the other toolsets available in VR could be integrated. In her work, she has since worked with game engine, photogrammetry, 3D modeling, spatial sound, and voraciously experiments with other emerging technologies.
